In September, our President and Co-founder Dr. Armando Sardi attended a conference for the Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nurses Society, where he presented on the latest approaches to managing peritoneal carcinomatosis in patients with gastrointestinal and gynecological cancers.
Dr. Sardi highlighted how innovative treatments like Cytoreductive Surgery (CRS) and Hyperthermic Intraperitoneal Chemotherapy (HIPEC) are giving hope to patients by offering targeted, effective treatment options. He also emphasized the role of the Abdominal Cancers Alliance in expanding awareness and providing vital resources, including advocacy for life-saving interventions like CRS/HIPEC.
Through partnerships with medical professionals and organizations like the Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nurses Society, we’re dedicated to improving outcomes and support for those impacted by advanced abdominal cancers.
