PFCCAP’s inception program focuses on mitigating the obstacles women face in their breast and cervical cancer journeys by bridging the gap in cancer screening and treatment in Cali, Colombia.

PFCCAP works alongside our sister organization, Fundación Colombiana Para La Prevención y Tratamiento del Cáncer (FCPTC), in Cali, Colombia in the year-round programming highlighted below.

2023 Colombia Mission
October 1-7, 2023

Throughout the week our volunteers:

  • Trained a total of 72 Doctors and Nurses in clinical breast examinations

  • Served 82 breast cancer patients in our donation clinic

  • Gifted 156 Bras and Breast Prosthesis donated by American Breast Care

  • Gifted 29 Wigs donated by Soul Ryeders

This was a HUGE win as we trained doctors and nurses from surrounding hospitals and clinics - a first for the Cali region!

On Friday, Dr. John Singer and Dr. Armando Sardi presented at the "Cali Se Entrena" conference presented by la Clinica de Mama de Red de Salud del Norte E.S.E. Andrés Pérez shared the profound impact of our patient navigation program on the early screening of breast cancer.

As stated by Yira Ismelda, a breast cancer patient and recipient of a new correct-fitting bra and breast prosthesis,

"You all are my angels. Thank you."

We could not do this work without all our supportive volunteers, donors, PFCCAP team members, interpreters, and partnering organizations. To each and every one of you, THANK YOU!
